This site is dedicated to the memory of Derrick Botley.

Derrick Botley is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. He is a muched loved Uncle, Great Uncle and Great Great Uncle who will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Derrick outlived his 3 sisters, Joan, Nan and Bet and his companion Colin.

During the Second World War, Derrick served in the Royal Army Medical Corps serving in Italy and the Middle East and after being reported missing he was found to be a Prisoner of War from 1941 until the end of the War.  He worked for SCATS in Winchester for many years and in his retirement he enjoyed travelling

During the past two years he has lived in St Cross Grange Nursing Home in Winchester where he was cared for to a high standard and where he passed away peacefully on Friday 11th March 2016 just 3 weeks before his 98th Birthday.
